Meet Axel Rós
Our Gentle Giant & Training Assistant
Axel Rós is an important part of how we support puppies, anxious dogs, and select reactivity cases.
As the world’s largest Giant Schnauzer, Axel has a calm, steady presence that helps other dogs learn through observation rather than pressure.
He supports:
- Puppy socialization & confidence building
- Anxiety support
- Select reactivity situations
Axel is never used to overwhelm or “test” dogs. His involvement is always intentional, controlled, and based on what’s best for the dog in front of us.

Working Dog & Task-Based Training
Some dogs want more than sit, stay, and leash walking — they want a job.
At Bones & Roses, we offer task-based training for dogs who support individuals or families with specific needs. While we do not train or certify therapy dogs or service dogs, we do help dogs learn practical, real-life skills that support independence, regulation, and daily routines.
What We Can Help With
We train dogs to assist with functional tasks, such as:
- Deep pressure or grounding behaviours (when appropriate)
- Retrieving items
- Structured routines that support emotional regulation
- Focus, neutrality, and calm behaviour in public settings
- Confidence-building and environmental stability
All training is tailored to the dog’s ability, temperament, and the handler’s real needs.
